The Economic of Two Countries (Report Writing 07)

As same countries in Southeast Asia, Thailand and Indonesia have a similar economic climate. Both countries are famous for their abundant agricultural and plantation products. Geographical situation in Southeast Asian countries that makes them famous for its agricultural sector.

In the same way, both Thailand and Indonesia belong to the new industrialized countries of the developing world. Where these two countries began to focus on the industrial sector and infrastructure improvements. Based on JLL Real View data on 144 world countries by 2015, ASEAN's infrastructure sector is not yet in the top 10. Although in this case Thailand is superior to Indonesia. Thailand is ranked 48 while Inonesia is under Thailand which is ranked 56.

As well, in terms of ease of doing business, Thailand is also superior to Indonesia. Thailand is ranked 26 of 189 countries, while Indonesia is ranked 114. Still according to JLL Real View, there are two things that affect the business conditions in a country. The first is the ease of doing business and the second level of taxation the state imposed on each company. Various conditions are making a separate assessment for investors to invest.

In contrast to the state of infrastructure and the ease of doing business that puts Thailand ahead of Indonesia. According to the projected economic growth report of developing countries in ASEAN by the World Bank, Indonesia is superior to Thailand with economic growth projection of 5.2% and Thailand at 3.2%.

However, regardless of the data, both Thailand and Indonesia are countries in Southeast Asia and are ASEAN member countries. Improved cooperation both become more focused than just looking for differences which are superior especially in the economic field. Because one of the goals of ASEAN Community is integration in the economic field which became known as Asean Economic Community.
